The Global Energy Parliament (GEP) is an international body whose mission is to provide recommendations and strategies, backed by scientific research, with the objective of ensuring a self-sustaining, peaceful existence for human beings and the universe.
The GEP’s mission is fulfilled in the following ways:
The foundation of the GEP is the unifying theory of energy outlined in H.H. Swami Isa’s “I-Theory”, which describes the composition of the universe from its fundamental element: a tiny unit of vibration (commonly referred to as the “I particle”).
The GEP is conceived to have representation from every country by distinguished persons from all sectors who embody exemplary knowledge of their fields, either theoretical or practical. The GEP consists of Members, Ministers, and representatives of National Energy Parliaments (NEP’s). NEP’s themselves draw from Regional and Local levels. This structure allows implementation of the GEP’s objectives through:
The GEP Research Centre (GEPRC) is a network of international scientific and research projects supporting the objectives of the Parliament.
"We should enter a world of knowledge where we recognise the fact that the self and the universe are nothing but energy, and all actions--whether good or bad--emanate from energy. We would then discipline our thoughts, passions and actions accordingly."
~ H.H. Swami Isa, Founder of the GEP
The Global Energy Parliament is organized by the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust, a registered charitable body functioning in Trivandrum, Kerala, India since 2000, under the leadership of the Founder and Managing Trustee, His Holiness Jagadguru Swami Isa.
IVPT seeks to create a world in sustained balance through an inclusive vision of the individual, society, environment and world. Its projects are based on Swami Isa’s concept of 'Total Consciousness,' or total awareness, which is achieved through an integration of objective (outer) knowledge / activity with subjective (inner) knowledge / activity. The IVPT organizes the Global Energy Parliament and runs a school (the Isa Viswa Vidyalayam) and a research centre.
IVPT conducts national and international seminars on Education, Science & Technology, Energy, Medicine, Economics, Peace, etc.; international campaigns such as the Economic Literacy Campaign and Green Neighbourhood Project; regular discourses with the public and especially with women; environmental and food security activities and environmental awareness programs; camps and activities for children promoting human values; technical education to children and adults with disabilities; relief and services to disaster victims and low-income sectors of society; free medical services and healthcare to those in need; clothing and comfort to the elderly and abandoned; education for girls; conducts marriage and family counseling and seeks to eradicate the dowry system; awareness programmes for prevention of violence against women; regular lecture series on a variety of social and economic topics; and publishes a variety of media to increase awareness in these areas.
The Global Energy Parliament is the IVPT’s primary international work. The Global Energy Parliament Research Centre conducts ongoing research into affordable forms of renewable energy, total systems of education, holistic forms of law and justice, society and culture, and integrated medicine.
In 2015, IVPT was granted Special Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
