Raj Bhavan Global Energy Parliament Chair Established in KolkataWe are proud to announce the establishment of the prestigious Raj Bhavan Global Energy Parliament Chair, an initiative poised to significantly advance the field of education and research. The Honourable Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, has given his full support and blessings to this transformative initiative, recognizing its potential to benefit the state and beyond. He said, “By fostering a comprehensive and integrative approach to education, the Global Energy Parliament Chair aims to contribute significantly to the intellectual and societal advancement of West Bengal and the broader global community.”
The chair will be held by the renowned Padmasree Dr. Kiran Vyas, whose work in the realm of education, culture and yogic sciences has garnered significant recognition.
The Global Energy Parliament (GEP) Chair will focus on several key activities:
- Education for Total Consciousness: The chair will drive initiatives aimed at fostering GEP’s holistic approach to education. This involves the development and implementation of innovative curricula and training programs that address the multidimensional aspects of consciousness and its impact on personal and societal development.

GEP Speaker Kiran Vyas Receives Padma Shri AwardThe GEP Speaker, Dr. Kiran Vyas, was presented with the Padma Shri Award by the President of India Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony at her official residence on Thursday. Dr. Vyas received the award for his contributions to the field of Yoga.
The Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian honours in India. The award seeks to recognize achievements in all fields of activities or disciplines where an element of public service is involved.
Kiran Vyas resides in France, where he has been teaching yoga and Ayurveda for three decades from his open university in Normandy and centre in Paris. Countless numbers of people have come into contact with Indian culture through him, and feel deeply touched by his vast knowledge, great humility, and gentleness of spirit.
Dr. Kiran Vyas is the Speaker of the Global Energy Parliament, Chairman of GEP France, founder and director of the Tapovan Open University and Ayurvedic Centres in Europe, Member of the Advisory Committee of the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, President of the School Education Group Sincerity in Gujarat, and Founder and Executive Member of the European Council on Ayurveda.
Kiran Vyas was born in Lakhtar (Gujarat), and received his education in the Aurobindo Ashram. His father worked at the Sabarmati Ashram with Mahatma Gandhi, from whom he received great philosophical principles on yoga and culture.
Dr. Vyas worked at ISRO in 1971. At the same time, he founded and directed three experimental schools in Gujarat. Later he moved to Paris, where he worked at the UNESCO Paris as permanent representative and member of the World Council of INSEA (International Society for Education through Art, Non-Governmental Organization).
He leads the International Day of Yoga practice at the Eiffel Tower with thousands of participants. Countless numbers of people have come into contact with yoga and Indian culture through him, and feel deeply touched by his vast knowledge, humility, and gentleness of spirit.
In November 2023, he took over the Speakership of the Global Energy Parliament from Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, the Governor of West Bengal. The Global Energy Parliament (GEP), an esteemed international body, is dedicated to ensuring a self-sustaining, peaceful existence for both humanity and the universe. Guided by the unifying I-Theory developed by its founder, His Holiness Jagadguru Swami Isa, the Parliament is committed to devising innovative solutions to global crises. Since its inception in 2010, GEP has conducted international sessions in various countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. 'Yoga Through the I-Theory' online course startedA new online course was started today called 'Yoga Through the I-Theory.' The course aims to give the public an introduction to yoga and meditation techniques along with an explanation that is grounded in the science of Swami Isa's I-Theory.
Clara Cressy led a 40 minute practice, which was preceded by a 15 minute talk on the I-Theory by GEP Research Centre Director Dr. Christophe Dumas. "Yoga means the merging of the subject and the object," said Dr. Dumas. "Understanding how this process works, is what we're trying to give."
"It's a unique class and a new way to teach yoga," said Clara. "The I-Theory makes everything very clear, where often yoga practitioners find themselves unable to really digest the science behind yoga. Practices like yoga and meditation don't have to be a matter of faith." Clara has been teaching yoga in France for the last 15 years, trained by Jagadguru Swami Isa at his ashram in India.

GEP Chairman Dr. A. Sukumaran Nair Passes AwayGlobal Energy Parliament Chairman Dr. A. Sukumaran Nair passed away yesterday at the age of 94, at his home in Thiruvananthapuram.
Dr. Nair had been a strong supporter of the activities of the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust and Swami Isa. In 2001, he chaired the organizing committee for the international workshop on ‘Education and Culture for Total Consciousness’ which first made Swami Isa’s system of education known to the world. He led the subsequent national workshops on Education for Total Consciousness annually, and was a great supporter of the education system’s pilot school, Isa Viswa Vidyalayam.
In 2010, Dr. Nair became the founding Chairman of the Global Energy Parliament, followed by the Global Energy Parliament Research Centre in 2012. His exceptional intellect and values steered the parliament to greater dimensions in annual sessions around the world.
“Sukumaran Nair was an exceptional combination of vision, integrity and determined implementation. He was an integral factor in the development of Education for Total Consciousness on the practical plane, and later in the Global Energy Parliament. May his soul attain moksha,” said Jagadguru Swami Isa.
“This is a great loss for the Global Energy Parliament and more largely for the intellectual community in Kerala and the nation,” said GEP Secretary Dr. M.R. Thampan. “His leadership, knowledge, precision and culture are irreplaceable.”
A reputed national educationist, Dr. Nair was very active in improving the science of education. He was formerly the Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University and Officiating Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kerala, and served on a number of governing councils for various universities. He set up and a number of institutions throughout his life, including the renowned Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, a Government of India institution of excellence.
As a promising young international scholar, Dr. Nair obtained a PhD in Educational Psychology and was selected for the Fulbright Scholarship in the USA and the Commonwealth Fellowship in the UK.
In 2019, Dr. Nair was presented with the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust’s “Vidya Award” in recognition of his lifetime of outstanding contributions to the field of education.
He is survived by his wife Komalam S. Nair and four children, Sivasankar, Ravisankar, Achuthsankar and Udayasankar, all of whom are educationists.
A Commemoration Meeting will be held on January 16 at 11 a.m. at the Isa Viswa Vidyalayam, Anayara, Thiruvananthapuram.

"Science and Faith are One," Declares GEP 2023The thirteenth Global Energy Parliament (GEP) initiated by Isa Viswa Prajnjana Trust concluded at Raj Bhavan, Kolkata with a ‘Kolkata Declaration’ based on the words of Founder Jagadguru Swami Isa, which stated that science and faith are two action planes of one thought, or two branches of knowledge, not separate nor opposing. A clear vision of the connection between one’s self and the universe is necessary to live as a fully developed humane human being, and both science and faith can contribute to such an enlightened vision, through the I-Theory.
The House resolved that for such a new culture and knowledge to emerge, a global institution of education is the most dire need of the day. It called for the building of a model Universe-City, a Universal University for human beings to live with total knowledge, develop humane qualities, and learn from birth to death, in an energetically balanced environment.
The two-day Parliament attended by more than 120 Members of Parliament deliberated on different aspects of ‘Science and Faith.’
In his concluding remarks Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal Dr C.V Ananda Bose announced that Raj Bhavan will go back to natural farming. Moreover, to commemorate the holding of the historic session of GEP, there will be a GEP garden in the Raj Bhavan.
Five Committees were formed to promote the larger goals of the GEP: the Committee for Global Science Ethics, the Committee on Education, the Committee on Integrated Healthcare, the Committee on Sustainable Economy and the Committee on Arts & Culture. The Committees already started their work in the course of the Parliament; chairpersons were appointed and objectives drawn up for the work of each Committee over the next year, on which each Committee will make a Report to the 2024 Parliament.
Since its inception in 2010, GEP has conducted international sessions in various countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. GEP is organized by the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust, a charitable organization which holds Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
The proceedings of the GEP concluded with a display of Bengali art forms including Chhau dance on the grounds of the Raj Bhavan.

Swami Isa Surprises Members with a New Definition of FaithOn the first day of GEP 2023, GEP Founder Swami Isa surprised Members of Parliament with a new scientific definition of science and faith as two inextricably linked ends of a thought, with faith as the chemistry, and science as the mathematics of it.
The Global Energy Parliament convened its 13th annual session of parliament on the topic of “Science and Faith.” It was concerned about the false dichotomy between science and faith, and the uncomfortable fact that that science has become one of if not the single biggest contributing factors to the destruction and suffering on the planet.
Early in 2023, GEP Founder His Holiness Jagadguru Swami Isa noted that science has become obsessed with material achievements while disregarding the existence of things it cannot directly observe. Faith, too, he pointed out, has treated science and logic as its enemies.
Members from all walks of life and 15 nations assembled in Kolkata, India to discuss this topic at the GEP 2023 in November.
In his Founder’s Address at the beginning of Parliament, Swami Isa told them: “Science and faith can help us to obtain a clear vision of the universe. The two action planes of One Thought are labelled as faith and science ... Though designated as two, mathematics and chemistry belong to thought. Realizing this is the first step in the human’s growth towards perfection, the state of the Absolute.”
He continued: "Science and faith will teach the human to understand what is lacking in them, and life will lead them to perfection. Science and faith are the two legs to walk towards absolute knowledge.”
Members were excited about the new vision. “This is a wholly unprecedented idea about science and faith and the connection between them,” said GEP Minister for Science Dr. Christophe Dumas. “But it is very much in need right now.”
“Some of us came here arguing that faith and science were parallel but never able to intersect. It’s a totally new idea,” said one member from Kolkata.
“I think it is hard for us to grasp the importance of what Swami Isa has given to us,” commented GEP Germany Co-chair Stephanie Pfeiffer. “This has the potential to totally upend the fundamental assumptions behind today’s wars and conflicts and unite humanity with a new and fresh understanding.”
Swami Isa released a book outlining these ideas, entitled “Science and Faith,” at the Valedictory Function of the GEP, and every Member of Parliament received a copy.

S. Somanath, ISRO Chairman, Receives GEP AwardShri. S. Somanath, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was presented with the GEP Excellence Award for furthering scientific understanding of our universe and our place in it. The award was presented by the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal at the inauguration of the 13th Global Energy Parliament on "Science and Faith" on November 29, 2023 at the Raj Bhavan of Kolkata.
Dr. Bose applauded Somanath for inspiring the children of our nation to recognise that “sky is not the limit.” He commended the efforts of ISRO and termed it an inspiring effort of India leading the world in science.
In his acceptance speech, Somanath spoke about the linkages between science and faith in our understanding of the universe. Commenting on this year’s theme of GEP, he emphasised that it is our ability to marvel at the outer space that has given us a better understanding of the universe. He added that the human mind is not even capable of conceiving space that is in 11 dimensions, an indication of the limitations of the human mind.
The award was specially handcrafted by the GEP in the double-toroidal shape of the I-particle envisioned by Jagadguru Swami Isa.
Swami Isa offered his congratulations and blessings.

Governor of West Bengal Inaugurates GEP 2023The first day of Global Energy Parliament 2023 was formally inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal, at the Raj Bhavan. The theme of 'Science and Faith' for the 13th Global Energy Parliament was selected by GEP Founder Jagadguru Swami Isa.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Bose said, “There is nothing called dichotomy between science and spirituality. What is required is a type of understanding of what Swamiji has propagated,” in a reference to Swami Isa’s I-Theory, which promulgates that all matter, force and energy is the manifestation of a single vibration. “From a stage of dependence to independence, the world has reached a stage of interdependence. Anything that happens in the world has global ramifications,” he added.
In his Founder’s Address, Jagadguru Swami Isa stressed that faith and science are neither different entities nor contradictory. He added that self-awareness starts from the “I-thought,” and emphasized that one needs to remove the self-ignorance that is prevalent. He urged society to stop the divisions between the two and to shape our thoughts towards those of unity, seeing that everything is Energy, a manifestation of one Consciousness.
His Excellency, who had been Speaker of the Parliament for 12 years, passed on the gavel to the next Speaker, Dr. Kiran Vyas. The parliament began with the Question Hour, with 20 Ministers and members from more than 15 nations. Submissions were made by Members from various fields of expertise on the theme, and several Resolutions were passed before the ending of the first day.

S. Somanath, ISRO Chairman, to receive GEP AwardThe Global Energy Parliament announced today that it has selected Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman Dr. S. Somanath for its 2023 international award.
The ‘GEP Governor’s Excellence Award’ was constituted to recognize outstanding global contributions to science, and will be presented at the 2023 session of GEP conducted on the theme of ‘Science and Faith’.
Dr. Sreedhara Panicker Somanath is an Indian aerospace engineer serving as the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Under his leadership, ISRO carried out the third Indian lunar exploration mission named Chandrayaan-3, making India the first country to successfully land a spacecraft near the lunar south pole and the fourth country to demonstrate soft landing on the Moon.
Educated at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering, Kollam, University, Dr. Somanath is known for his contributions to launch vehicle design, particularly in the areas of launch vehicle systems engineering, structural design, structural dynamics, and pyrotechnics.
The Global Energy Parliament has a history of presenting awards to distinguished global personalities for their contributions to sustainability and peace. The GEP Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Sir James Mancham, the Founding President of the Republic of Seychelles. The GEP Peace Award was presented to Ambassador Sergey Batsanov, the Director of Pugwash Conferences for Science and World Affairs, Nobel Laureate.
The ‘GEP Governor’s Excellence Award’ carries a 1 lakh rupee cash prize, memento and citation.

GEP 2023 to be conducted on 'Science and Faith'The 2023 edition of the Global Energy Parliament is to be conducted on the theme of ‘Science and Faith’ at the Raj Bhavan of Kolkata, India, from November 29-30, 2023.
This session of parliament is devoted to rediscovering the illuminative power of both science and faith, to understanding how we use them in our daily lives, and where both can help society overcome its present problems.

GEP Speaker Presents Global Education Policy to Indian PM Narendra ModiThe Speaker of the Global Energy Parliament, Dr. Kiran Vyas, met with the Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi in Paris on July 13th. They discussed the activities of the GEP and Dr. Vyas presented the PM with a copy of the GEP’s Global Education Policy for Total Consciousness.
The proposal is for a comprehensive education policy on the transformation of education worldwide into a humanistic, holistic, forward-looking form of eduation. Such an education has been envisioned to transform society through individuals who are happy, healthy, and fulfilled and capable of living meaningful lives of peace.
Based on the philosophy of Education for Total Consciousness, which itself results from the implementation of GEP’s scientific foundation, the I-Theory, the 127-page Policy proposes a restructured, universal curriculum and pedagogy for lifelong learning. Stages of learning outlined reach from the prenatal development of a human being up to the end of life, focusing a strong bond between the trinity of the teacher, parents and student and a transdisciplinary approach which fosters a close relation between knowledge, skill and production for holistic, complete development. Moreover, The Global Education Policy for Total Consciousness introduces Pranic Science as a new branch of knowledge which holds the key to healthy growth and energy balance on every level of a human being’s existence.

GEP Education Policy "Should Be Read By Each Minister Around the Globe" Says BelgiumWorld leaders are appreciating the GEP’s proposal of a Global Education Policy for Total Consciousness.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Dr. Kiran Vyas, and the Secretary of the Parliament, Dr. M.R. Thampan have sent copies of the 127-page policy proposal to every government around the world, and the responses are beginning to come in.
“The Global Education Policy for Total Consciousness should be read by each Minister all around the globe,” wrote Caroline Desir, Minister for Education for Wallonie-Bruxelles, Belgium. “The promotion of human values and of a peaceful world education [in the policy] has been at the core of the policies implemented as a Minister as well as my political and personal commitments.”
Austria’s Federal Chancellery was also in agreement with the principals of a global education policy and pointed out that “education, higher education and research systems can only operate successfully and develop their full potential in international cooperation.”
Colombia’s Minister for Education wrote that “This will undoubtedly be a great contribution to education.”

EU Passes First Artificial Intelligence ActTechnology moves fast, especially in the age of digitalization.
It was this knowledge, and some foresight, that made GEP hold its 12th annual session on the theme of digitalisation. Members passed a detailed ‘Humane Digitalization Act,’ calling for restraint and humaneness in dealing with new technologies in all sectors. (Read the summary here.)
The European Parliament has passed the world’s first piece of legislation to regulate the use of artificial intelligence, by approving the Artificial Intelligence Act. It contemplates complete bans of intrusive or discriminatory uses of AI, such as cognitive behavioural manipulation targeting specific categories of vulnerable people or groups and social scoring. Regulation is imposed for high-risk AI systems and foundation models.
The law is not expected to come into effect until 2026, which is a long time in the life of technology.
We can expect to see more legislation from the US focusing on soft law, privacy and ethics, from the UK concentrating on soft law and a decentralised principle-based approach, and China which wants explainable AI algorithms and to demand companies to have transparency about their purpose for using AI.
Aside from AI, GEP had also discussed important topics at last year’s session on Humane Digitalization like digital currencies, digital weapons, and the changing workplace. Members laid out very clear guidelines to help legislators give the best tools to the world but without exploitation of users, society or the natural world.

AI, Digital Currency and Energy Imbalance - Main Concerns at GEP 2022Of the several themes that came to the forefront at the session of Parliament held last week on Humane Digitalization, perhaps the most consistently voiced message was that digitalization is not negative or positive in itself, but it is up to the human beings who program it and those who use it who decide its impact. Therefore education around humane digitalization is crucial for the general population, decisions makers and tech companies. This was the 12th annual session of Parliament.
Several positive aspects of digitalization were raised and its various contributions in each sector were noted by guest speakers and GEP Ministers in each different sector.
However, the main points of discussion were about the specific drawbacks and future risks that digitalization poses.
Undoubtedly, the rise of Artificial Intelligence was one of the biggest topic of discussion. AI is still young and already it spreads across the spectrum of sectors, but there are few regulations on it. Members noted that fear of AI is not the correct response, and humanity must learn to use new tools in a rational and human-centered way. Yet many concerns about AI were expressed, for example its potential to replace human effort, thought and social interactions. "What will happen if everything is to be done by machines? What will be left for human beings to do, and what will it mean to live as a human being?" asked Prof. Achutsankar R. Nair, a Professor of Bioinformatics. There were several calls for ethics and responsibility in the design and deployment of AI and the preservation of human dignity and freedom. The Bill for Humane Digitalization which was passed on the second day goes into detail about the regulation of AI.
GEP Founder His Holiness Jagadguru Swami Isa shared many insights into the vast differences between the human being and digital machines, seemingly in response to the growing fear in society that humans are easily replaceable by machines and/or no more than biological machines. He went into great detail about the complex makeup of the human being, from the gross (physical), subtle and causal levels of matter, to the three states of waking (deep sleep, dreaming and wakefulness), to the various historical means that humans have employed other beings and equipment to make their lives easier.
Another area of concern was the vast potential of digitalization to energetically disrupt both living and manmade systems, by converting natural processes and systems into artificial ones. "Without awareness of the energy balance inherent in any natural system, new technologies and processes are being deployed that have the potential for planetary-scale disruptions like we see with climate change," said Dr. Christophe Dumas, Minister for Science and Technology. "It is essential to use science and technology based on the fundamental knowledge of energy balance and the I-particle," he said, referring to the fundamental particle that has been introduced in Swami Isa's unified theory. The Ministers for Natural Resources and Environment echoed his concerns. Members called for greater global education about energy.
The present laws on digital surveillance and privacy were discussed. Members agreed that more robust legal protections and education for users need to be implemented worldwide, and that the GEP should have a role in designing such policies and programs.
Digital currency came up at several points through the two days, concluding with Swami Isa giving a stark warning about the use of digitalized currencies in any form (either cryptocurrecy or nationalized digital currency). He noted that since digital currency is a form of wealth that is not based on a physical reality like gold, the further the abstraction into "shadows," the more easily it can be manipulated or undermined and the entire global economic system is at risk. "Real wealth is physical, not virtual," he said.
All in all, many thought-provoking recommendations were made for framing a human-centered digitalization. Swami Isa's reminders about the vast potentials, gifts, complexity and excellence of the human being gave inspiration for a new vision of digitalization in service to the higher nature of humankind and the living world. Undoubtedly, without clear knowledge of the energy that makes up the human being, the digital world, and the systems they live in, the way forward is bleak. Now is the time, says GEP, to make a clear and proactive path forward that ensures energy balance, happiness and harmony for all.
The Bill for Humane Digitalization was passed on the second day.

25 Countries attend GEP 2022GEP Members of Parliament from around the world assembled on December 9-10 in person and online to hold the 12th annual session of Parliament on the theme "Maintaining Our Humanity in the Digitalized Future."
MPs and guest speakers from 25 countries around the world discussed how to welcome the advances that digitalization brings to human civilization, while at the same time ensuring that its new culture does not mean we lose touch with what it means to be a human being.
Participants hailed from Austria, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Nepal, Nigeria, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Philippines, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.
The event was open to the public for registration to become a Member of Parliament, and anyone was able to ask questions and participate in debates.
At the Question Hour, participants had the opportunity to ask GEP Ministers a question about digitalization. Many were concerned about the long-term effects of various technologies and tools that have not been studied well for their impacts on human wellbeing and environmental integrity before being deployed.
Guest speakers, GEP Ministers and GEP Members addressed the positive and negative aspects of digitalization in each sector, from Education to Agriculture to Finance.
The event was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal, His Excellency Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose.

Governor of West Bengal C.V. Ananda Bose inaugurates GEP 2022The 12th annual session of the Global Energy Parliament was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal, His Excellency Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose on December 9th. In his Inaugural Address, Dr. Bose congratulated the Global Energy Parliament on assembling over many years to discuss important and forward-looking topics for the global scenario. He noted that many topics of the upcoming G20 sessions have already been addressed by the GEP. He said, “What Jagadguru Swami Isa thinks today, the world will think tomorrow.”
Dr. Bose spoke of the noble vision of Swami Isa and his educational system of Education for Total Consciousness which Dr. Bose had presented to the President of India last month.

GEP Speaker CV Ananda Bose named GovernorThe Hon. Speaker of the Global Energy Parliament, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, has been appointed as the new Governor of West Bengal by the President of India.
Dr. Bose has been a key supporter of the activities of the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust for more than 20 years, and the Speaker of GEP since its inception in 2010. He has chaired sessions of the GEP at Geneva, Madrid, Chiang Mai, and numerous times at Thiruvananthapuram and online. His able leadership and oratory brilliance make the GEP sessions enlightening and refreshing for all.
Dr. Bose has represented the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust at the United Nations, where it holds Consultative Status. He has addressed the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council to promote IVPT’s concepts of Education for Total Consciousness and energy balance.
He was responsible for the inauguration of the Delhi Chapter of the GEP at the residence of the President of India, and for organising many other activities to promote the IVPT and GEP.
Author of 32 books in English, Malayalam and Hindi, Dr. Bose has also published many articles about the teachings of Swami Isa and Education for Total Consciousness.
A retired civil servant and expert in Habitat, Dr. Bose has received the Global Best Practice Award by the United Nations for his work.
He has headed numerous committees and commissions for the Government, and also represented India at CERN during his time at the Department of Atomic Energy.
Earlier, Dr. Bose was the district collector of Kollam district in Kerala, where he was well loved by the people.
Recipient of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship, Dr. Bose is also the first ever Fellow of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.

12th GEP to be held on Humane DigitalizationThe Global Energy Parliament, together with experts from each sector, will be gathering for its 12th annual session of parliament on December 9 and 10, 2022.
The topic for the annual event is "Maintaining our Humanity in the Digitalized Future."
Secretary of the GEP Dr. M.R. Thampan said "The main questions we will be asking this year are about a humane future of digitalization. What does it mean to be a human being in an increasingly digitalized world? What is the relation between information and consciousness? What guidelines can we give to ourselves and to our governments to ensure that digitalization remains a tool for freedom, peace and prosperity, and not for enslavement?"
The session will invite experts in various fields to talk about digitalization in the future, and Members of Parliament will work together to develop recommendations to all governments and international entities to enable the best of digitalization for humanity.
GEP invites every human being to become a Member of the Parliament and part of a growing international community working for innovative, balanced solutions to the world’s most critical problems. The event is free of charge.

On this significant day, we're announcing the theme of 12th Annual Global Energy Parliament (GEP 2022): "Maintaining Our Humanity in the Digitalized Future."
We all know that every sector is changing rapidly due to digitalization--whether it's education, finance, governance, business, healthcare, etc. How can we ensure that humanity retains its essential characteristics in a digitalized world? This session of Parliament will contribute to policy proposals and public initiatives that encourage rootedness in humanism as well as balance, peace and harmony in the digitalized future.
GEP 2022 will be an online event in December (dates to be announced). Members are invited to send their proposals for written and oral submissions now.
