AGENDA

GEP 2016 looked at one of the most pressing questions facing humanity: how to create a harmonious habitat for the billions of humans, animals and plant species on the planet. Nature has its own harmony, or balance, in which many different species co-exist in a mutually beneficial ecosystem. When the balance is lost in any way, the survival of the entire system is at stake.

Global challenges need global solutions for the global community! The spirit of this parliament lies in scientific evidence, global solutions, and collaborations from across all sectors to formulate policy suggestions on achieving harmony. Whether you are a Youth or professional, there is a place in this parliament for you.

The Global Energy Parliament has been bringing out globally leading ideas for the past 7 years, from our member scientists, academics, professionals, and other activists around the world. Every year we send a summary of the best ideas and concepts (click here to see the GEP Resolutions ) to the governments of all countries and other bodies of international importance like the UN.

The Global Energy Parliament is a non-political international body which provides recommendations and strategies, backed by scientific research, with the objective of ensuring a self-sustaining, peaceful existence for human beings and the world. The GEP is a project of the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust, which is a registered charitable organization holding consultative status to the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Please visit www.ivpt.org for more details.

A single person can have an immense impact by balancing their own life and by creating harmony in the outer world. Together, we can do even more. This is your chance to be a part of a global movement for harmony, happiness and sustainability, by participating in GEP 2016!

How It Works

GEP sessions are convened as a simplified parliament session similar to the Westminster system, including a Question Hour, Introduction of Bill, Submission of Proposals, Call-Attention Motions and Voting on Resolutions.

All registered participants of GEP 2016 are deemed as Members of Parliament. By submitting a written proposal in advance, you may get the chance to give an Oral Submission, Call-Attention Motion or even become a Minister of Parliament.

Online training in parliamentary procedures will be given to ensure a smooth process.

The event also includes an Inaugural Function, Awards Ceremony, and a World Harmony Cultural Program.
